Economy and Fair Work Committee

1. Declaration of interests: Sarah Boyack will be invited to declare any relevant interests. 2. Decision on taking business in private: The Committee will decide whether to take items 4 and 5 in private. It will also decide whether to take discussion of the approach to scrutiny of expected legislation, and of its work programme, in private at the next meeting. 3. Scottish Government priorities: The Committee will take evidence from— Kate Forbes, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Gaelic, Scottish Government Colin Cook, Director of Economic Development, Scottish Government Aidan Grisewood, Director of Jobs and Wellbeing Economy, Scottish Government 4. Scottish Government priorities: The Committee will consider the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 3. 5. Work programme: The Committee will consider options for scrutiny of AI’s potential impact on the Scottish economy.
